I’m so proud to write this announcement. UXCam has raised a $5 million Seed round led by Headline, the backer of analytics giants Segment and SEMrush. Participants in the round include Adjacent VC, Blinkist co-founder Tobias Balling & Sebastian Schleicher, Staffbase co-founder Martin Bohringe, ex-CMO of Contentful Chris Schangen, CEO at OwnBackup Sam Gutman, co-founder/CEO of Podimo Morten Strunge. We’re one step closer to making every app experience in the world a positive and effortless experience.
This milestone is proof that putting users at the center of your product is good for business. Our teams have spent the past few years laser-focused on helping mobile app teams better understand the needs and behaviors of their customers. I want to give a big thank you to the entire team who always go the extra mile to keep our clients happy.
The secret to knowing what customers want isn’t more data. It’s empowering mobile app teams with easily digestible insights they can confidently act on. The process of setting up, collecting, analyzing, visualizing, sharing insights bogs down teams, preventing them from moving fast and making product-led decisions.
As a part of the funding round, Jonathan Becker, Partner at Headline will join UXCam’s board, “As the backer of SEMrush and Segment, we have been searching for the next company that can deliver insights specifically for the mobile app experience. Kishan and Silvanus impress us with their obsession with pure and visual insights, their commitment to empathy, and the company culture they have built across three continents.”
This funding round comes during a meteoric rise in the mobile app industry. Mobile adoption has advanced 2-3 years in 12 months. Financial app usage in the US has increased by 77% while the food delivery market has doubled during the pandemic.
UXCam’s exclusive data shows that UX-related issues (rage taps, UI freezes, and crashes) can amount to nearly a third of all sessions recorded across all app categories including financial services and insurance, consumer products, tech, food and beverage, media and publishing. For financial services specifically, UX issues in apps can amount to 25% of sessions.
General data savviness is a challenge as well. Either product teams have a dependency on a single data analyst or the data team — or few trust the insights that are gathered from multiple sources and tools. UXCam serves as a single source of truth for mobile app insights, fueling product-led growth.
Hyper connected end users are demanding more from their apps and may be ready to desert trusted brands for ones that satisfy their needs faster. App uninstall rates have jumped as much as 35% in 2020 compared to the same month in early 2019.

Our experience analytics platform automatically processes app micro-interactions like swiping and tapping that signal user intent and frustrations. These digital signals are visualized through actionable graphs, filterable video recordings, and dashboards. The user journey becomes visible to all teams. Each month, UXCam automatically captures insights from 100B data points and 3B app experiences.
Our growing client and partners list includes Costa Coffee, Nandos, Housing.com, Delivery Hero, and over 350 other global businesses. Each month, UXCam automatically captures insights from 100B data points and 3B app experiences. These insights are used by products to continue better user experiences. Known for our ease-of-use and world class customer service experience, I’m proud to say that UXCam was ranked #1 as a leader in usability and implementation for mobile app tools on the review site, G2.
Our mobile app insights platform has tripled its revenue in the last year. To accompany this growth, our wonderful team has doubled in size the last year, focusing on sales and marketing hires.
I’d like to give a big thank you to our investors, customers, and team around the world. In 2022 we’ll continue to make improvements to our product to make experience analytics easy and intuitive for mobile app teams.
