UXCam Academy is our free learning hub for the people who build and run apps and websites. It has two courses right now. One teaches mobile app product management, from choosing a North Star Metric to planning releases. The other teaches you how to get answers from your product data with UXCam, in nine short lessons.
Both courses end with a short exam, and both give you a certificate with your name on it for your LinkedIn profile. Nothing costs money: not the lessons, not the exam, not the retakes, and not the certificate. You enroll with your name and email, and you don't need a credit card or a UXCam account.
We launched the Academy in 2023 with the mobile product management course. In October 2026 we redesigned it and added a new UXCam Fundamentals course for the current version of UXCam. Below is what's in each course, how the exam and certificate work, and which course to start with.
Want to jump in? Browse the courses or start UXCam Fundamentals, which takes about 30 minutes.
| Course | Best for | Lessons | Video time | Final exam | Certificate |

Course details as of October 2026.
This is the Academy's product management course. Two practitioners teach it: Marcelo Zeferino, Group Product Manager at QuintoAndar, and Umut Gultekin, Head of Product at Accessibility Cloud. After a short welcome, the course runs through four modules in the order the work happens. Plan has three lessons on the North Star Metric: why an app needs one, what makes a good one and how to find yours. Discover is the longest module, with seven lessons. It covers mapping your discovery work with an opportunity tree (based on Teresa Torres's opportunity solution tree), choosing a research method, and the Shape Up framework in three parts: setting a time budget, shaping the work and handing it to delivery. Deliver covers the challenges of shipping mobile apps, feature flags and a complete release plan. Measure closes the course with six lessons on what to track, setting up tracking, measuring experiments, analytics pitfalls and how often to check your numbers.
Most general PM courses say little about shipping. On the web you can ship a fix the same afternoon. In an app you wait for store review, and some users stay on old versions for months. That changes how you plan releases and how much you lean on feature flags, which is why the course spends three lessons on it.
The 21 lessons add up to just over two hours of video. The final exam has 20 multiple-choice questions, and you need 14 right to pass.
As a new PM, this course gave me confidence.
The second course is shorter and more hands-on. In nine lessons of three or four minutes each, it teaches the way product teams use UXCam day to day: UXCam surfaces what changed, you look at what users actually did, and you measure the result.
Get started. Make the Home page your daily check-in, so you know what moved before standup.
Discover. Ask Tara, UXCam's AI analyst, for answers, dashboards and weekly briefs, and connect your UXCam data to AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor through the UXCam MCP.
See. Watch sessions, get to know individual users, and read heatmaps on mobile and on the web to check whether a new version worked.
Measure. Build dashboards and follow one event from start to finish.
Each lesson page has the video, a short write-up with ideas to try on your own product, a first step to take today, and links to the matching help center and developer docs.
It's a course about our product, so it helps most if your team uses UXCam or is about to. The habits it teaches carry over to other tools, though: start the day with a quick look at what changed, watch the sessions behind a number before you trust it, and follow one action through the whole product instead of eyeballing totals. If you want to practice as you go, UXCam has a free plan you can install on your own app or website.
The final exam has 15 multiple-choice questions, and you need 11 right to pass.
Every course follows the same path:
Enroll for free with your full name and email. The name you enter is the one that goes on your certificate.
Watch the lessons at your own pace. Your browser remembers your progress, so you can stop after one lesson and the course page will offer to continue where you left off.
Take the final exam. It's timed, multiple choice, with four options per question. You need 70% to pass.
Retake it if you need to. If you don't pass, you see your score and the lessons behind the questions you missed, and you can try again straight away, as often as you like.
Get your certificate. It shows your name, the course and the date, and has its own credential ID and a link that anyone can open to see it.
Adding it to LinkedIn takes one click. The "Add to LinkedIn profile" button opens LinkedIn's form with every field already filled in: the certificate name, UXCam as the issuing organization (with our logo), the issue date, the credential ID and the credential link. You can also post it to your feed or download the image.
To be clear about what this is: it's a free certificate of completion from UXCam Academy, not an accredited qualification. It shows a hiring manager that you finished a structured course and passed the exam, and it gives you something concrete to talk about in an interview. It works best next to work you can show, like a product teardown or an analysis you ran on a real product.
Ready to try it? Start UXCam Fundamentals and you could have your first certificate within the hour.
If you took the Mobile PM course before, the lessons are the same, but the Academy around them has changed:
Course pages now show the full syllabus with lesson lengths, what the exam looks like, and what you get when you pass.
Lessons track your progress, and the course page offers to continue where you stopped.
A failed exam tells you which lessons to re-watch instead of just showing a score.
Certificates go to LinkedIn with all the fields filled in, and each one has a shareable credential page.
UXCam Fundamentals replaces the course for the previous version of UXCam.
If you're a product manager, or want to become one, start with the Mobile Product Management Certification. It's the one that teaches the PM job itself, and the certificate name says so on your profile.
If you use UXCam, are about to, or want a quick, practical win with product data, start with UXCam Fundamentals. You can finish it, pass the exam and have a certificate on LinkedIn in under an hour.
Doing both takes about three and a half hours, exams included, and they cover different ground: one is about deciding what to build and how to ship it, the other about reading what users actually do once it's live.
Yes. The lessons, the exam, retakes and the certificate are all free, and enrolling doesn't ask for a credit card.
No. You only need a name and an email to enroll. A UXCam account helps if you want to practice what UXCam Fundamentals teaches on your own product, and there's a free plan for that.
UXCam Fundamentals has 29 minutes of video and a 20-minute exam. The Mobile Product Management Certification has a little over two hours of video and a 30-minute exam. Both are self-paced.
No. It's a certificate of completion issued by UXCam Academy. You can add it to LinkedIn under Licenses & certifications, and the credential link lets anyone see it.
We keep a list of the best free product management courses, including which ones still give you a free certificate, and a guide to product management certifications, free and paid. If you're ready to pay for live teaching, our guide to product management courses compares the paid options, and our product management resources list covers newsletters, communities and books.
