Users: meet the people behind the numbers

Share:

Say your team just launched a campaign in Canada, and new shoppers sign up every day. Are they enjoying your product, or quietly getting frustrated and leaving? The Users page shows you the real people behind the numbers.

What you'll learn

  • Who are my users? One row per person: when they were last seen, their sessions, time spent, country, and signals like crashes and rage taps.

  • How do I find the right people? Describe them in your own words, like “users from Canada”, add filters, and save the group as a segment for dashboards, sessions and funnels.

  • How is this group doing? See how many are new, how often they come back and how many returned after a break, then ask Tara what changed.

  • What's one person's story? A profile shows how often someone comes, the paths they take, the friction they run into and their sessions, day by day.

  • Can I measure what I just watched? Turn the steps of a session into a funnel, and see how many other people make it through.

Ideas to try on your own product

  • Before your next user interviews, find your most engaged users and invite them.

  • Check how your highest-paying customers experience your product, and fix their friction first.

  • When someone writes to support, look them up before you reply.

  • After every campaign, save the new users as a segment and compare them with everyone else a month later.

Your first step
